Ryan Boiter, CCHM, Superintendent
Ryan Boiter is a Superintendent with Mavin Construction. He’s been at Mavin for more than 4 years, and a member of the construction industry for over 16 years. Ryan’s day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing quality control, budget, manpower and overall safety on the job-site. He earned his degree from the University of Alabama and grew up in Taylors, SC. His favorite thing about Mavin is getting to see the finished product and working with “wonderful people.” He enjoys hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles.
Tyson Boulton, CCHM, Superintendent
Tyson Boulton has been a Superintendent with Mavin for 4 years. Tyson manages projects on-site and ensures daily tasks are done with quality and safety in mind. Tyson grew up in Napoleon, Ohio and earned his B.S. in Business Administration in 2003 from Bowling Green State University. Tyson has 15 years of construction experience under his belt. His favorite thing about Mavin Construction is that “everyone is willing to help one another out, just like family.” In his spare time, Tyson enjoys working out and spending time with his daughter, Zara.
Dustin Canup, Foreman
Dustin Canup is a Foreman at Mavin Construction. His goal is to make sure everyone is working safely as he assists with floor protection, blocking, pointing up walls, framing, doors, hardware and more. Dustin grew up in Hendersonville, NC and Upstate, SC. His construction experience includes pipe fitting, welding and plumbing. Dustin loves working for Mavin because of the “great people, great attitudes and wide scope of work!” Dustin is married to Melissa and has 4 children, Avery, Cole, Dillinger and Chloe.
Brady Cauthen, Project Manager, LEED AP BD+C
Brady Cauthen has been a Project Manager with Mavin since 2013, although his experience working with DJ and Todd extends 10+ years into his career. Brady leads his projects with a constant focus on the client’s experience. Brady’s detailed and thorough approach allow him to find the best solution in activities that require significant coordination. He leads the project from concept to completion and utilizes his experience serving in both Preconstruction and Project Management roles throughout his career. Brady grew up in Lancaster, SC and earned a B.S. in Construction Science Management at Clemson University in 2005. His career in construction began with residential construction and grew to include commercial construction in 2005. Notable career experiences include being a certified LEED AP, and earning his OSHA 10 and 30 hour certifications. Brady loves the people at Mavin. Outside of work, Brady spends time with his wife, Christy, children, James and Aubrey, and their dog, Bowman. Brady serves as the Assistant Coach of his son’s t-ball team and is a member of Advent UMC-Simpsonville.
Bernie Crawford, Maintenance Specialist
Bernie Crawford serves as a Maintenance Specialist for Mavin’s maintenance clients and has earned the nickname “Silk” because of his silky smooth demeanor and can-do attitude in everything he does. Bernie grew up in the Washington, D.C. area. In his 15 years in the construction industry, he also has a background in maintenance tech and carpentry. According to Bernie, what he loves about Mavin is “working with the other Mavins and our clients.” Bernie volunteers at the Children’s Museum of Greenville and enjoys camping cooking, gardening, hiking, and spending time with his family and friends.
Alan Day, Foreman & Superintendent
Alan Day serves in many different capacities and excels in production roles such as Foreman and also leads projects as the Superintendent when workload requires. Alan’s ability to excel in both production and leadership of the team give him the ability to build strong relationships with all individuals on his projects. Alan grew up in Greenwood, SC and graduated from Greenwood High in 1993. He has been in the construction industry for 23 years! Alan’s favorite thing about Mavin is the strength of his team. Alan has two children, Chase and Allie. In his spare time, he loves being outdoors.
Dennis John (DJ) Doherty III, LEED AP BD+C, CCHM, Partner
DJ has lived in the Upstate most of his life. He graduated from the Darla Moore School of Business at The University of South Carolina in 2001. DJ has worked in the commercial construction industry since he graduated. He began his career as a field engineer and moved up through the pre-construction, project management and business development areas. Early in his career, DJ focused on sustainability, achieving the accreditation of LEED AP and most recently attaining a postgraduate diploma from Furman University in Corporate Sustainability. DJ is a graduate of Leadership Greenville Class 34 and continues to be very active in the community through both volunteering and leadership. He currently serves on the Board for Ten At The Top (TATT) and an advisory council for the Architectural and Construction Engineering Technology program at Greenville Tech. He and his wife Stacey have three children (Dutch, Lane, Anna Pearse) and a family pooch, Rosey. He is an avid sportsman and together with his family enjoys soccer, boating, offshore fishing, camping and traveling. DJ is a member at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Brandon Franks, Assistant Superintendent
As an Assistant Superintendent at Mavin Construction, Brandon Franks coordinates with our subcontractors to facilitate project scheduling, safety and completion.
Brandon earned his Associate’s degree in Construction Engineering from Greenville Technical College. He has worked in the construction industry for 4 years. Brandon is a Greenville native and loves fishing, kayaking and traveling.
David Gilstrap, CCHM, Superintendent
David Gilstrap has been a Superintendent at Mavin for over 3.5 years. His number one priority is safety, and he works with the architect and owners to schedule and oversee the quality of work. David graduated from Dale Carnegie High and grew up in Greenville, SC. He has been in the construction industry for an impressive 40 years. In all his experiences, David enjoys Mavin because, “we are all a team.” Outside of work, David rides motorcycles, goes fishing and spends time with his children, Michele, Melissa, Jason and Jeremy.
JP Hadley, Foreman
JP Hadley is a Foreman at Mavin Construction. He works on daily tasks and keeps the jobsite safe and clean. He grew up in Mobile, Alabama. According to JP, every day there is something new to learn at Mavin. His favorite hobbies include watching football, playing golf and spending time with family and friends.
Robert Hill, CCHM, Superintendent
Robert Hill has been a Superintendent at Mavin for the past 4 years. He ensures that tasks get done on schedule and aims to make sure that the workplace is safe, “so everyone can go home at the end of every day.” He grew up in Thompson, Iowa, a small town of 500 people, and graduated from North Iowa High in 1994. Robert has 22 years of experience in the construction industry. He loves working for Mavin because it feels like a family. Robert’s favorite activities include spending time with his wife, Sherri and 2 girls, Kendall and Kira, and playing guitar.
Matt Infanti, Project Manager, LEED AP BD+C
Matt is a Project Manager here at Mavin. On a day-to-day basis, Matt manages the overall development and construction phases for designated projects, including GMP development, subcontractor selection, contract negotiations, milestone scheduling, monitoring financial status, quality control and more. Matt grew up in Bradenton, FL and earned a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Florida in 2002. He has been in the construction industry for 15 years. His favorite thing about working for Mavin is the team environment and getting involved in the community. Outside of work, Matt likes to golf and spend time with his wife, Julie and their friends.
Kenneth Ivey, Maintenance Specialist
Kenneth Ivey is a Maintenance Specialist at Mavin. His day-to-day responsibilities include building, repairing and painting on the maintenance-service side of Mavin Construction. He graduated from the accredited Machine Tool Technology Program at Spartanburg Community College in 1996 and has been in the construction and maintenance industry for over 30 years. His favorite aspect of working at Mavin is getting the chance to do different tasks in different places each day. According to Kenneth, “the management team makes me feel like I’ve been part of the Mavin family since day one.” Kenneth grew up in Spartanburg, SC. He enjoys fishing and spending time with his wife, Debra and three children. Kenneth is a Shriner.
Jon Jenkins, Field Engineer
Jon Jenkins serves as a Field Engineer and APM on his projects to support both the Superintendent, Project Manager and Subcontractor Partners.. On a daily basis, Jon assists the superintendent with operations, conducts safety meetings and serves as a liaison between the superintendent and the project manager. Jon attended Erskine College and Greenville Technical College. He grew up in Piedmont, SC. Some of his past projects include Fellowship Greenville Church and Hillcrest Hospital. At Mavin, “we all strive to be the best and we are all family,” says Jon. Outside of work, he is involved in the Boy Scouts of America and is a Freemason. He enjoys hunting, fishing, listening to country music and spending time with his wife, Candace.
Dennis Johnson, Superintendent
Dennis has been a Superintendent at Mavin since 2013. On a daily basis, Dennis coordinates safety meetings, subcontractor orientations, on-site reviews, owner correspondence and scheduling. He has been in the construction industry for 28 years and has worked on everything from remodeling, cabinets and molding, to new builds. His favorite thing about Mavin is working for a family-oriented team. Dennis grew up in Travelers Rest and Greer. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Denise, and two children, Dustin and Kisha. In his free time, Dennis rides motorcycles, goes hunting and fishing, and spends time with his family.
Dustin Johnson, Project Coordinator
Dustin Johnson is our Project Coordinator at Mavin. Dustin assists project managers and superintendents through BIM (Building Information Modeling) both during preconstruction and construction. Mavin utilizes the BIM 360 software suite and Autodesk products to generate and complete the models on projects. Dustin also helps with estimating, concept design to help communicate scope RFP response generation and supports the Maintenance Division with model development of existing buildings. Dustin has earned two associates degrees in Multimedia & Drafting and Design from ITT Technical Institute. He grew up in Greer, SC and Six Mile, SC and has been in the construction industry for 6 years. Some of his past career experiences include working on multi-million dollar projects that required custom materials and design work to create a unique space. His favorite thing about Mavin is that he can be a helping hand if anyone needs help. Outside of work, Dustin enjoys trailblazing though mountain hikes, swimming and going to the lake.
Lindsay Koeper, Project Manager
Lindsay Koeper is a Project Manager. She’s been with Mavin since 2013. Lindsay provides overall management of pre-construction and construction activities, including, but not limited to budget evaluation, scheduling, project coordination and determining phasing/setup for construction activities, with regard to current owner operations. Lindsay serves as the primary point of contact for all items associated with project implementation. She earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Clemson University in 2005, a M.S. in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Construction Management and Science in 2007, and a M.B.A. in 2007. She’s been part of the construction industry for almost 9 years. Her favorite part of working at Mavin is the fun, family-like culture. Lindsay grew up in Charleston, SC and enjoys running, working out and visiting mountain towns.
Jenny Lewis, Chief Financial Officer
Jenny Lewis has served as the Chief Financial Officer for Mavin for 4 years. As CFO, Jenny manages all financial aspects of the business, including budgeting, financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management. Jenny grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting at Louisiana State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. In Jenny’s words, “everyone is family” at Mavin. Jenny is a PR committee member for the Greenville Humane Society and former VP of Finance for the Junior League of Greenville. She is married to David and has 2 children, Bradley and Brooke. She enjoys watching her son play baseball, watching her daughter’s gymnastics competitions and walking her dogs.
Todd Malo, CCHM, Managing Partner
Todd was born in Charleston, SC, grew up outside of Atlanta and came to Greenville to attend Furman University. While there, Todd received a Bachelor of Science degree and met his wife, Suzanne. They have lived and raised their family in Greenville for over 20 years. Todd started his construction career immediately following the completion of his degree. He spent the first three years of his career working in the field with tools strapped to his waist, learning the business and developing a love for construction. For the last 20 years, Todd has been managing large construction projects, performing business development and running company operations while continuously making clients happy with their construction experience and developing a reputation for being a Mavin in his field. Todd participates in the Upstate community by giving his time to many organizations, some of which include: Julie Valentine Center, Furman Alumni Board and the Poinsett Club Building & Grounds Committee. He is a graduate of Leadership Greenville Class 37, Riley Institute’s DLI program and Furman’s Liberal Arts Leadership program. Todd enjoys spending time his wife and being active with his boys (Jack and Graham), as well as snow skiing, water skiing, wing shooting and attends St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
Kevin McAtee, Superintendent
Kevin McAtee has been a Superintendent at Mavin Construction since 2015. As a Superintendent, Kevin insures that projects are supervised in a safe and productive manner. Kevin graduated from Greenville High school in 1989 and has been an active member of the construction industry for 19 years. Kevin says, “Mavin feels more like a family than a group of employees.” Kevin is married to Stacy McAtee and has a daughter and a son, Krystin and Skyler. His favorite activities include hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and playing with his grandkids, Ace and Stella.
Stacy McAtee, Accountant
Stacy McAtee works as an Accountant at Mavin. Stacy is a native of Greenville. She studied Administrative Technology, Accounting and Computer Technology at Greenville Technical College and has over 20 years of experience in accounting. Her favorite thing about Mavin is the teamwork, positive communication and atmosphere! In her free time, Stacy enjoys spending time with her husband, Kevin, son, Skyler, daughter, Krystin and her grandbabies, Ace and Stella.
Alex Parks, Director of Maintenance Services
Alex Parks has been with Mavin since 2014. On a day-to-day basis, Alex coordinates daily maintenance activities and oversees small projects. He grew up in Birmingham, Michigan and earned a degree in Construction Management from Eastern Michigan University. Alex has been in the construction industry his whole life, starting with building tree houses and toys to watching his dad rewire houses. His first experience in construction was with a summer internship with a home builder, where he worked as a superintendent’s assistant. Now that Alex is at Mavin, he values the camaraderie and unique, family-culture. Alex is very involved in his community, and participates in Alchemy Comedy Theater, Leadership Greenville Class 43, Rebuild Upstate, Trees Greenville and Greenville Sports League. Alex also spends time with his two dogs, Timber and Roo.
Jerry Pearce, Foreman
Jerry is a Foreman at Mavin. On a daily basis, he works on a variety of tasks, including trimming and hanging doors, patching up paint and maintaining a clean workspace. He’s no native to Greenville; Jerry grew up in Fresno, California. He has been part of the construction industry for over 30 years and has worked on significant building projects from bridges to high rise buildings. His favorite thing about Mavin is the respect that “Mavins” have for one another. Outside of work, he goes hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and traveling to the beach or the mountains. He’s loves spending time with his 3 children and find inspiration in his own hardworking father.
Jeremy Price, Foreman
Jeremy Price is a Foreman at Mavin Construction. A former University of Georgia basketball player (2007-2011), Jeremy went on to play basketball professionally overseas. The next phase of his career was spent in the lumber and construction industries.
Jeremy loves working with the Mavin team, where he can learn alongside great superintendents and foreman. In his free time, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his son, Jeremy Price Jr. as well as coaching youth basketball at the local YMCA.
Jeff Schuler, Superintendent
As a Superintendent, Jeff manages all phases of on-site construction projects. He also oversees the timely progression and safety of projects. He has earned a degree in Business Administration from Florissant Community College. He has also completed a Carpenter Apprentice Program through the AFL-CIO and a Dale Carnegie Success in Business course. Jeff grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and has been in the construction industry for 30 years. His favorite thing about working at Mavin is the team environment, positive and forward-thinking and the growth that Mavin has had in the industry. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys spending time outdoors.
